Project Description

The above video was produced by Nebraska Loves Public Schools and focuses on the need for Career Academy development to meet the needs of Nebraska students, local communities and the state as a whole.  Norfolk Public Schools is making academies a priority for our students and our community, but we need your help!

The Norfolk Public Schools Foundation will be focusing our Big Give efforts to raise funds for the Career Academies at Norfolk High School.  We need to raise less than $45,000 to meet our total project costs of $1.8 million.  This project will provide updated equipment and curriculum, as well as a small addition to Norfolk High School to expand the Metals and Automotive Academy areas.

Please help us fund this impactful project for Norfolk students!

All 13 Career Academies will be in place for the 2017-2018 school year and ready to impact the 1400+ students at Norfolk High School.  These academies will prepare students with career and college readiness skills, enabling a more marketable student and a stronger Norfolk workforce.   NHS Career Academies include Health Sciences, Drafting, Automotive, Construction, Agriculture - Animal Science, Agriculture - Plant Science, Metals/Welding, Marketing, Finance, Business Management, Information Technology, Culinary Arts, and Early Childhood Development.
