Organization Profile

The Faith Regional Foundation raises money and community awareness for Faith Regional Health Services. The Foundation uses several methods of fundraising including capital campaigns, endowments, Grateful Patient and Honors programs, Employee-Giving and special events. Contributions from these sources help with building or maintaining facilities, buying new medical equipment, providing scholarships, and offers support for hospital programs and services.  The Foundation is securing high-quality healthcare for generations to come. Each gift, no matter the amount, helps to create a healing environment and provides state-of-the-art health care to residents of northeast Nebraska.

Project Description

All funds raised on May 22nd, will benefit The Briggs & Barrett Project. Two local mothers, Melissa West and Allison Uecker formed The Briggs & Barrett Project after the unexpected tragedies of losing their infant sons, Briggs West and Barrett Uecker to Sudden Unexpected Infant Death (SUID) and Sudden Infant Death Syndrome (SIDS). These two moms are now committed to providing newborn parents with SIDS and SUID education, tools and resources in our community.

With your gift during the Big Give, your donation will help The Briggs & Barrett Project provide babies born at Faith Regional Health Services with a Halo Sleep Sack to encourage parents to put their infants to sleep on their backs to reduce the risk of SIDS and to provide them with a copy of the Sleep Baby: Safe and Snug book by Dr. John Hutton, it was created for Charlie's Kids Foundation, whose mission is educating families about SIDS prevention.

On May 22nd, Faith Regional Health Services Administration, Directors, and Employees will be outside of the hospital from 7a.m. to 7p.m., "Biking for Briggs & Barrett", raising money for the project. Volunteers will be collecting donations and handing out thank-you gifts to donors. Melissa and Allison, the project's founders, will also be at the biking station on the 22nd talking about Briggs & Barrett and how your donation helps to honor the memories of their beautiful baby boys.
